We are on for Saturday, March 16th at the Presidio in San Francisco. Dinner will be a casual (rather extensive) buffet starting at 4PM - everyone should try to be here by then if at all possible. You do not need to bring anything, except a yearbook if you have one, and a digital camera if you have one. Those who want to bring some wine can do so. Estelita and Nancy will be bringing a couple of wines from Monterey, to add to the Napa and Sonoma wines we have here. Food will span a very wide gamut (including Dungeness crab for those who like it). Let me know if you have any special requests.

We will actually be reuning all day Saturday for anyone who'd like to come over earlier. My wife would be delighted to show this historic park/former army base to any would like to see it. All significant others, friends and kids are welcome.

I have attached directions to the house from North and South to this email, as well as listed below for anyone who cannot open the attachment. Directions:

From 101 Northbound:

Take Civic Center Exit, follow signs to Civic Center and get on Van Ness Avenue

Take Van Ness northbound, stay in LEFT lane, and bear LEFT onto

Lombard St. towards Golden Gate Bridge

Stay in Middle lane to avoid left turning cars, until around Scott Ave., then get into LEFT lane

Just past Broderick Ave., get into LEFT turn lane just before main road bears to the right

Take LEFT turn at green arrow, go 2 blocks to stop sign. Then go straight thru gate pillars.

Go about 300 yards, past stop sign, and BEAR RIGHT thru yield sign just before stop sign.

Take LEFT at next stop sign onto Presidio Blvd.

Go around curve until stop sign, house is on LEFT corner. Take LEFT turn, park along curb.

From Rte 280 Northbound onto 19th Avenue:

Take a right off 19th Avenue (also called Park Presidio) at the light onto either Clement or Lake Street.

Follow until end at Arguello St.

Take a LEFT on Arguello, enter the Presidio through pillars at the top of the hill.

Follow Arguello down hill through the parklands.

Take a RIGHT at 1st stop sign, follow road as it bears left. Our house is at next stop sign on right.

From Southbound 101 Across Golden Gate Bridge from Marin County As you cross GG bridge, get over to far RIGHT hand lane. Go through the extreme RIGHTMOST tollbooth (no objections from liberals, please!) Take the first RIGHT turn, about 100 feet after tollbooth Take another immediate RIGHT turn down hill. Take next RIGHT turn under building, through the short tunnel. You will emerge into view area parking lot. Continue through stop sign until road ends at Lincoln. Take LEFT turn onto Lincoln Blvd. Follow Lincoln along coastline and through park, past large cemetary. Just past cemetary, bear right on Infantry Terrace Take a LEFT at Moraga (2 blocks, at theater). Follow Moraga, which takes a LEFT turn and becomes FUNSTON AVE. Our house is on left at next Stop sign.

The house is a 3-story white military-style Victorian. If you've ever seen the Sean Connery movie "Presidio", it is the house that Sean and Meg Ryan lived in. I have asked both Sean and Meg to join us, but it seems they're both busy.
